Favourite Fall Colour hikes

In September , the forest trails are filled with colour and make for some fantastic walking /hiking. We are producing an Algonquin hiking guide and would love to hear from our wilderness friends as to what your favouite Algonquin Park fall colour hikes are. Please send in your suggestions and and we will post late this month.

At the log cabin, I love to paddle down Surprise lake to Otter Creek and hike up the talus slope to the beaver meadow. The trail is typically filled with signs of Otters, wolves and deer. The meadow itself is great for exploring or taking a nap under a tall pine.

Down on the Algonquin park highway 60 corridor, the lookout trail offers an expanisive view filled with colour.
