Snowshoe Adventure for Two

I just received e-mail today from a guest who was on a February winter weekend at the Algonquin Cottage Outpost. Paul and Diane are friends of a friend who contacted us looking to celebrate an anniversary by sampling some unique winter adventures. Their “Adventure for Two” included a day of dogsledding and a snowshoe excursion out to a cozy winter camp.

“The dogsledding was fantastic but the snowshoeing capped off the weekend. We loved the forest trails and winter camp. The trip was awesome.”

Thanks Paul! The snowshoeing is fantastic at Algonquin Park’s northwest corner. Whether it is on the Forgotten Trails or making your own tracks through the highland hills, the routes are endless and beautiful. These Adventure for Two packages are great for couples of all abilities. The Cottage Outpost is great to return home to each night. Both the Nahma and Magnetawan suites have a cozy fireplace/ woodstove to warm up and enjoy a glass of wine or hot cup of tea.
